I just love the brothers’ stone-cold expressions there in the background. ❤

OH, CUTIE. ❤

I saw The Lorax today

and it was bad. Really, REALLY bad.

I cannot even begin to describe what was wrong with this movie. First of all the characters were poorly written. None of them were interesting and they had little to no personality. Some of the characters were just there to move the plot along (aka that love interest for Ted and the O Hare guy) The Once-ler’s back story is so rushed I almost got whiplash. It didn’t stop and let the audience get to know the character long enough to actually CARE about him. The pacing was just all over the place it couldn’t stop and focus for 5 seconds because they had to cram a stupid joke involving those stinking bears (oh yeah this movie was not in the least bit funny).

The songs in this were unbelievably annoying. None of them were catchy or memorable. Ok, I admit the “How Bad Can I Be?” song was decent and perhaps the only good part. To be honest I could tell this movie was gonna be a flop the second the first song started.

The biggest disappointment of this film was the animation. It was so stiff! They could have gone so much farther with the expressions and body language. The backgrounds and environments weren’t that impressive either. One or two were good like the Once-ler’s factory but we barely get to experience it because that scene is like 2 minutes. I was expecting animation like from “Horton Hears a Who” which was very fluid.

The Lorax is one of the worst animated movies I’ve seen to date. All around just a horrible movie that didn’t have an ounce of effort put into it.
